Chef Dimitri Lilavois started his culinary career after receiving his associate degree from Miami Dade Community College and joining the prestigious culinary Le Cordon Bleu in Miami. While attending school, Dimitri joined the ranks of Caneel Bay Beach Resorts, St John, and USVI as a seasonal Chef where he continued to learn the trade and sharpen his skills.
After graduation from Le Cordon Bleu and receiving his Associate Degree in 2009, Dimitri wanted to continue his education and completed Bachelors from Barry University in Administration and Software Engineering.
In 2011, Chef Dimitri decides to return to his home country and joins Executive Chef Stephan Berrouet Durand at Le Plaza Hotel and works side by side with him for six months until June where he becomes the new Chef de Cuisine of the Hotel and the Executive Chef of the Newly Remodeled Kanel Restaurant.
